Arf Arf to you. Today’s useful website is BORED (www.bored.com). Bored is a nice overall to check out when you are bored and want to kill some time on the computer. Bored has everything from crossword puzzles and online poker to how to make money on the internet and chat forums. I’M ONLY A DOG, BUT: Why do they have daylight savings time? People still wake up and go to sleep the same time. It certainly doesn’t make any difference to we canines – we sleep most of the day anyway.

PC Decrapifier will give you a list of junk it finds and gives you option to remove each program or keep it. CONFUCIUS SAYS: Bird in your hand better not lay egg.
Bob’s Special Tip – Speed doesn’t matter anymore
August 31st, 2010
Me and the guys have a tip for you. We conducted a survey and found that most people use their computer to surf the web, do word processing and play poker and solitare and other games. Except for the high end gamers, most people are fine with basic computer systems AS LONG AS YOU HAVE HIGH SPEED INTERNET. I would rather have a $100 computer with high speed internet over a $1000 computer with phone dial up internet. If you are a gamer or want to watch movies on-line, you will be better off with a faster computer with a higher grade video card. ISN’T THAT RETARDED: That under the current administration, United States Tax Dollars are being used to build mosques around the world. http://dailycaller.com/2010/08/24/u-s-government-funds-mosque-renovation-and-rehabilitation-around-the-world/#ixzz0xWrMTk00 TOMORROW: HopSing
Sleeping Tech – Beware of fake anti-virus offers
August 30th, 2010BEWARE OF FAKE ANTI-VIRUS OFFERS
Fraudulently advertised anti malware offers ranks among the fastest-growing types of on-line scams. Online ads that simulates Windows alert messages tout products with names like DriveCleaner, WinFixer, Antivirus XP, and Antivirus 2010 warning you that your computer is infected with some sort of malware and advertising to buy the named product to fix it. These scare tools only pretend to check your computer for malware. More often they will disable your registry and Windows features that prevent you from killing these programs or removing their alert messages. The best fix is to not download anything that contacts you online until you thoroughly investigate the offer. ASLEEP AT THE SWITCH: How about this employee: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kwjn7gnjhuA LAST WEEK’S TRIVIA QUESTION: When Windows 95 was first introduced, what was the theme song and what group performed it? The correct answer was START ME UP done by THE ROLLING STONES. THIS WEEK’S TRIVIA QUESTION: How much water does a person drink in their lifetime? Closest answer gets a free T-Shirt.
Modman Commentary – Free phone service mosque and other stuff
August 27th, 2010My editors say I have to first talk about computer stuff. Google is providing FREE internet phone service through GMAIL. International calls will be very inexpensive and calls in the US are FREE. Check Google for details. OTHER STUFF:
Lets get right to it. I think it’s ridiculous to build a mosque anywhere near the 9-11 site. I think everyone pushing for this has no sensitivity and I would hope all $$$ funding this project is accounted for. That being said, the fact that moslems or anyone for that matter have the right in this country to build a community center speaks volumes about this country. Maybe we could build a church in downtown Tehran? If you have bottled water delivered, I have uncovered a scam. I will discuss more on this next week. PHILADELPHIA BLOGGERS BEWARE: Philadelphia needs to raise more revenue for some of John Street’s relatives. Philly is going after anyone that shows extra income that doesn’t have a Philadelphia business license (cost $50 per year). Apparently they’re targeting bloggers and kids that cuts lawns. Can someone please deport all these reality shows and the morons that produce them? I know they are cheaper to produce, but does anyone actually watch them? I’d like to hear from one person that watches Minute to Win It, America’s Got Talent, Big Brother or one of these other shows. My hat’s off to that lady that chose her pet alligators over her hubby. I’d bet that at least 50% of spouses would take their pet over the spouse. RIPOFF: The I-95 corridor from the DE/PA border to Baltimore, MD is the biggest ripoff in the nation, especially at the DE/MD border. You get to pay $19 one way and as an added bonuse get to sit 20-30 minutes to get out of DE because of a lack of open toll booths and construction. Your tax dollars at work. Dallas Cowboy fans – I see Eric Williams is coaching a high school football team this year. I’ll bet that team will lead their league in personal fouls. Talk about a fixed horse race last week – The winner .. MY WIFE KNOWS EVERYTHING. Bedbugs in the movie theaters – who cares? Who goes to the movies anyway? They’re really a problem IN THE BED! The baby racoons are now bigger than my dog. And that’s the week in review.
LuLu’s Useful Website – IMEDIX
August 26th, 2010
Arf, arf to you. Today’s useful webiste is IMEDIX (www.imedix.com). Imedix is a social networking site that focuses on health issues so people with illnesses can network with each other and share revelant news and research information. WHO SHOULD BE NEUTERED THIS WEEK: How about Tiger Woods, since his divorce is final this week. Although the way he’s playing now, I think he already has gone under the knife. Also how about the umpire that tossed Ryan Howard of the Phillies Tuesday night. The guy made a terrible call on a non-check swing and then compounded his mistake by then having thin skin and tossing him. An ump or ref in any sport should show restraint on ejecting a player when the player is angry because of a blown call. And to make matters worse Charlie Manual (who still doesn’t know how to manage in the National League) was out of position players and had to place Roy Oswalt (a pitcher) into the game as a left fielder. How about Velda Jones-Potter, another government employee double dipping in Delaware. Delaware – the state that started goverment corruption. Besides working full-time at a appointed job making $110,00o per year, Potter moonlights for the City of Wilmington at the rate of $150 per hour to teach women employees to have more self esteem. She’d be better teaching them how to grab $150 per hour consulting job like she has.

HopSing’s Computer Confucius – What is a Codec?
August 25th, 2010
Rello. What is problem when you try to play DVD movie on your PC and get error message about “not having a proper decoder” in Windows media player? Media player is missing a CODEC (provided in Windows 7 only). A codec is translation software that allows a movie to play. To get a free codec, you must download a media player software that includes a codec. VLC media player is a FREE media player download that works very well. CONFUCIUS SAYS: Why Americans no like bedbugs? And why close movie theaters because of bedbugs? HopSing been to American movie theaters and much worse things on movie seats than bedbugs. HopSing sleep with bedbugs all the time. Anyone know what a Snookie is?
Bob’s Special Tip – Windows VISTA Updates
August 24th, 2010
Me and the guys have a tip for you. If you have a Windows VISTA licensed computer and you have to re-install your operating system, it can take DAYS to get all the Windows updates for your computer. Make sure that you update TO SERVICE PACK 2. If you don’t have service pak 2 on your computer, you don’t have all the updates. Sometimes Windows will say there are no more updates, you shut the computer off, turn it back on either later or the next day and guess what? More updates. ISN’T THIS RETARDED? Why do companies STILL HAVE A GAS SURCHARGE on their bills? That charge was originally placed on trash, water delivery and other bills when gas went up to over $4.00 a gallon. The last I looked gas hasn’t been that high in years. It seems that people get outraged for a short period of time and then just accept it.
